About the Translator
Tiedong Zhou
With over three decades of hands-on experience, expertise and research in the film business and film studies, Tiedong Zhou is one of the top film executives and scholars in China. He has translated and written an accumulation of nearly 10 million words for various publications, which include over 600 articles in newspapers and magazines and 18 published books, notably the Chinese translations of Robert McKee’s Story: Substance, Structure, Style, and the Principles of Screenwriting and Character: The Art of Role and Cast Design for Page, Stage, and Screen, as well as his monograph on film industry Feel the Pulse of Film—An Anthology of Tiedong Zhou‘s Essays on Film and Feel the Pulse of Film (Revised and Expanded).
